Oregon Travel Experience’s governing body, the Oregon Travel Information Council, will hold a work session at the Wilsonville Water Treatment Plant facility conference room in Wilsonville, Oregon, on Monday, August 5th, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The conference room is located within the treatment plant location at 10350 SW Arrowhead Creek Lane.

Sign crews install new historic marker at Dayton

Many hands raise new awareness to historic Dayton and its Fort Yamhill Blockhouse

This week, OTE’s sign crew and their Oregon Department of Transportation brethren were onsite at Dayton’s Courthouse Square Park, drilling holes and securing a brand new historic marker into place.

A Travel Information Council telephonic meeting will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. The proposed 2013 – 2015 OTE budget will be reviewed and voted upon. When OTE assumed management of the Tillamook rest area one year ago, its onsite rest area team embarked on a vigorous campaign to revitalize the surrounding landscape. OTE, the Oregon Heritage Tree Program and its committee members were sorrowed to hear of our friend Maynard Drawson’s passage from this world to the next.
