Logo Sign Program Rules

Rules to be amended: 733-030-0006,733-030-11, 733-030-0016, 733-030-021, 733-030-0026,733-030-0036,733-030-0045, 733-030-0055, 733-030-0060, 733-030-0065, 733-030-0080: With these changes Oregon will be compliant with updated federal MUTCD requirements. These amendments include updating the definition of Attraction. Clarifies that what the MUTCD defines as a “Business Identification Sign Panel” is what TIC calls Plaques. Removal of dual logo plaques as they are not permitted by the MUTCD. Addition of the definition of “Registered Business Name”. Clarification of supplemental messages and limiting them from two to one supplemental message per plaque. Changing the maximum size of a TOD sign from four signs to seven feet. Adding rules for Trailblazers. Removes obsolete language and references.

Date of Public Hearing: October 15, 2025 -We invite you to participate in the hybrid public hearing below on the administrative rules listed at the end of this letter. This will be your opportunity to provide verbal feedback on the proposed rule changes.   Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 01:00 PM PDT. You can attend in person at the TIC administration offices located at 1500 Liberty St. SE, STE 150, Salem, OR 97302 or virtually. If you need an accommodation, including language translation, please email jessica.carbone@tic.oregon.gov at least three business days before the public hearing with your accommodation request.

Anticipated date of TIC approval: December 9, 2025

Recent Rule Changes

These rules are final and have been filed with the Secretary of State. Newly adopted permeant rules will remain posted for at least 90 days form the effective date of the rule. Newly adopted temporary rules will remain posted until permanently adopted for 180 days form the effective date of the rule.
