The Travel Information Council is seeking a new Executive Director to lead this dynamic, innovative state agency whose mission is to serve travelers of Oregon’s highways by maintaining safe and convenient rest areas, providing direction to destinations, and connecting travelers with Oregon’s resources. The Travel Information Council manages 25 of Oregon’s highway rest areas, administers the blue logo highway information signs, and administers Oregon’s Historical Markers and Heritage Tree programs.

The Executive Director is appointed by the nine-member Travel Information Council and is responsible for carrying out the agency’s mission by providing leadership, oversight and direction. The ED oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures, program initiatives, and allocation of resources required to carry out the goals and objectives mandated by law and the priorities set by the Travel Information Council.
